Lone working policy
General policy
Lone working is any activity which does not involve interaction with other hackerspace members (or guests), or without close supervision.
Anyone working on their own must have a working mobile phone with them. This is the only sensible way to get help in a hurry (ie call 999/112). Sending emails and posts to message boards is not appropriate in this situation.
For other concerns, South Block's general manager is Teia Hughes and their 24h phone number is 0141 553 5890. (For less urgent matters, the front desk can be contacted on 0141 271 4700 or direct on 0141 553 5896 extension 1025.)
If you contact the manager, please send an email to CIC board too: mailto:glasgowmakercollective@proton.me
Lone working is not prohibited but equipment (especially soldering irons and hot air stations) must be turned off when leaving the workstation unattended.
